This October, the undead return to the Port City… but this time, they’re straight off the silver screen - a cinematic 5K survival experience like no other!
The 2025 Zombie Run is rolling out the blood-red carpet for a nightmarish tribute to films and TV shows made right here in Wilmington, NC. From Scream to Halloween Kills, The Black Phone to The Conjuring, the shadows of Hollywood’s creepiest creations will haunt every twist and turn of the course. Runners will run, doge and scream their way through the cinema-inspired scare zones as zombies attempt to pull "life flags" from their flag belts. Will you finish before... before the credits roll?!? The first 50 runners to survive the course with at least one life flag intact will be awarded a survivor medal.
Dress to distress in your favorite zombie, villain, or scream queen getup — or come as an unlucky extra trying to outrun the horror. Costumes are encouraged, especially if you want to steal the show in the costume contest!

Supporting Lyceum Academy
🎬This Zombie Run is a spooky fundraiser used to support educational trips and program opportunities for Lyceum Academy. Lyceum Academy is an Honors program at New Hanover High School. The program is founded on project-based learning and collaboration across curriculums often outside the classroom. Over the junior and senior year, we will take several trips to enrich student understanding and perspective. Help us continue to meet our goal of never leaving a student behind on a trip due to financial issues. This event is run through the Lyceum Academy Boosters and is not affiliated with New Hanover County Schools.

There is safety in numbers! Invite your friends to join you at the Zombie Run! Save $5 when you register 4 or more participants in a single transaction!
We also encourage you to gather your friends to form a team! Awards for best team costume!
