Running In The New Year - A JSRC Tradition

Out with 2025, In with 2026!  It’s time to think about your New Year’s Resolutions.  With all the food and drink we have consumed over the past few weeks, you might want to consider starting 2026 off on the right foot with some extra steps!
 
Please join us for the 22nd Annual New Years Eve Twilight 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk & Party hosted by the Jersey Shore Running Club on the beautiful Manasquan beachfront and local streets. This JSRC tradition has brought smiles to the thousands who have run it in the past. A 4:00 pm start time allows for a little “recovery time” before your late night partying. This is a SAFE and happy celebratory FUN RUN with course marshals at selected locations. Runners, walkers and friends are all welcome!  You don't have to be a JSRC member to participate. Due to safety & insurance concerns we must prohibit Strollers,Baby Joggers & Pets.  Thank you for your cooperation. There will be a free buffet for all participants at Leggett's Sand Bar following the run/walk.

JSRC is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.  Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Rae of Light Foundation and Kindness Cafe.  Please consider a donation to these organizations.  

RAE OF LIGHT FOUNDATION - The Rae of Light Foundation is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization established by Jessica & Matt Ludwig in honor and memory of their beloved 18 year old daughter, Jillian Rae Ludwig.  Jillian was an aspiring musician who lost her life tragically and senselessly in November 2023 when she was struck by a stray bullet while taking a jog in a community park nearby to her college campus in Nashville, Tennessee.  The Rae of Light Foundation is to honor Jillian’s legacy by providing scholarships and financial assistance for music students and struggling artists, as well as to protect innocent lives from being taken through preventable violence.

KINDNESS CAFE - A dedicated non-profit organization in Spring Lake Heights, NJ, focused on creating a vibrant social atmosphere that empowers adults aged 18 and over who have intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing meaningful employment opportunities at the Kindness Café. This welcoming café not only serves delicious food but also allows participants to gain valuable work experience, build skills, and enhance their confidence. The Kindness Cafe is committed to enriching the lives of its members, ensuring they have the chance to connect, grow, and thrive in a supportive environment.

                                                   REGISTRATION AND FEES

Online registration will be open through Monday, December 29 at jsrc.org or RunSignUp/JSRC Twilight Run or in person at Leggett’s on December 31 prior to the run/walk. No mail in entry.

Early Bird Registration (10/1 through 10/31/2024) - $30.00  (JSRC Members - $25.00)
Pre-Registration (11/1 through 12/29/2024) - $35.00
Race Day Registration (12/31/2024) - $40.00
Party Only (Includes Tee Shirt & buffet) - $20.00

Bib & T-Shirt Pick Up and Post Registration at Leggett's Sand Bar - 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm
Tee Shirts for all pre-registered participants through 12/29. Tee Shirts for post registrants (12/31) only while supplies last. 
2 mile run/walk will start at 4:00 pm
Post Run/Walk Party at Leggett's Sand Bar - Free Buffet

Highway 71 to Main St, Manasquan

From North - turn left on Main St

From South - turn right onto Main St

Continue East on Main St to First Ave

Leggett's is on right Street

Parking on street and Leggett's rear parking lot
