18th Annual Matawan Borough 5K Turkey Trot & Fitness Walk

Come out with friends and families on Saturday, November 30th and run off your Turkey dinners at our 18TH ANNUAL certified 5k Turkey Trot. The race/fitness walk starts at 8:30AM in our beautiful town of Matawan and will be set along the hilly and pretty Matawan neighborhoods.  Race party location to be announced soon where we will be awarding medals, dancing to music and taking selfies at our photo backdrop.  All runners registered by Friday, November 8th are guaranteed a race shirt. Race Shirts for registrations after the 8th will be while supplies LAST.  This is a fun family event and we love to see familiar faces. Net proceeds go back to our parks, beautification projects, and recreation programs.  This year we will have a table for non-perishable items, either bagged, canned or boxed that will be collected and donated to the Matawan Community Food Pantry.

MATAWAN FOOD PANTRY

The Matawan Community Food Pantry serves a vital role in our Community and has been helping households for over 25 years. Sis DeMarco & Kathy Odell coordinate efforts to supply food to over 100 households per month.  At this most wonderful time of year, please remember those community members that may be in need this season.  We will be collecting non-perishable items either bagged, canned or boxed on the day of race.  We also are coordinating dollar donations with a goal of $500.00 for the Matawan Food Pantry.
