Description
Welcome to the Inaugural Old Forge Ky-Tri registation site! A Kayak, Run, Bike event unique in many ways. Each event is it's own stand alone event, combined they make up the Old Forge Ky-Tri. Choose one, two or all three events for a weekend of fitness and fun in a very special place, Old Forge, NY. This quaint ADK town has all the amenities you need including plenty of lodging opportunities, restaurants, bars, mountain climbing, picturesque views of lakes and ponds and so much more. The Ky-Tri will be part of the Old Forge Marathon weekend with over 1000 athletes from all over the USA in attendance. Be sure to read the full descriptions of each event to get a better feel for what the weekend is all about.

On this site you can register for:
- The OLD FORGE KY-TRI (includes a 3.3 mile Kayak race, a 10K run and a 26.2 mile Gravel Grinder Bike Race)
- The 3.3 mile Kayak and 26.2 mile Gravel Grinder Bike Combo
- The 3.3 mile Kayak only

COVID-19 CHECKLIST
Before you come to the event...
- Know the start day/time that you signed up for
- Leave ample time to pick up bib & swag before your start (and put it in your car)
- Bring your own hydration liquids and sanitizing wipes/hand sanitizer
- Try to use a bathroom facility before you arrive
- Please bring a face covering to wear
What to do when you get to the site…
- Arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the start time you signed up for
- Park in the designated area. There will be attendants directing you. There will be porta johns near the parking area that you can use if you need to.
- Wait at your car until 25 minutes prior to your start time. Please stretch and hydrate at your car
- 25 minutes before your start make your way to the PPU area adjacent to the parking area
At the Packet Pick Up area…
- Please wear a face covering
- Get to PPU area not sooner than 25 min. prior to your start time.
- You will get a Willow buff (face covering), your BIB (do not forget to grab some pins) and your swag.
- After you have your swag, drop it off at your car and pin on your bib (on the front)
At the start line…
- Make your way to the start line just before the start time. Please wear a face covering and social distance until the race begins.
- Once you start and are apart from other athletes you can remove your face covering
During the race…
- There will be a minimum of 6 hydration stations with drinks poured. (see course map for locations). We ask that you help yourself to a cup (we cannot hand them to you). Garbage cans will be placed shortly after the stops. There will also be some sprinklers on the course.
- It is going to be hot- we suggest wearing a hydration belt or carrying water with you.
- There are two porta johns on the course (see course map for locations).
- If you are walking, please maintain a 6’ social distance with any other walkers or wear a face covering.
At the finish line...
- Yay! you finished
- Get your finisher medal!
- Please maintain a social distance
- Unfortunately, we must ask that you do not hang out post-race. The next wave of athletes will be arriving behind you. Teamwork makes the dream work!
