Lavender Towse Distance Festival 5K

Hi all! Please join us in celebrating Lavender Towse’s memory and Pride Month by helping us raise money for the Trevor Project, a non profit focused on providing resources for queer folks in crisis. Last year, we successfully raised over $5,000 and had a large group of racers at the track meet. We hope to reach our goal again this year to honor Lavender’s legacy.

Please note: This event can be completed anywhere and anytime during the month of June but there will be an in-person meetup to complete this race on June 24th, 2023 in Amherst, MA. If you are able to, join us for food, friends, and community!

Lavender Towse was a dedicated Cross-Country and Track athlete throughout their brief life. They were a fierce competitor who embraced both the physical and mental rigors of competition and training. They were a joy on and off the track to so many. While we mourn their passing, we welcome you to donate to and participate in the Lavender Towse Distance Classic to celebrate the joy they got from running and to raise funds for the Trevor Project, a nationally recognized organization doing the important work of preventing suicide amongst young LGBTQ+ people.
