Portman Park Here We Come!
Yes - we moved! The 2026 Blacklick Creek 5 Miler will take place at Portman Park just south of the old start/finish at the Jerry L. Garver YMCA.
Please Note: There will be NO PARTICIPANT PARKING at Portman Park. Parking for this event will be located at the Kroger on Gender Rd with shuttles ready to transport you safely and efficiently to and from the Start/Finish line at Portman Park; however, if you'd like to warm up to your run, it's a comfy ~half-mile (.5mi) jog to the start line!
Race Description
Join us for Columbus Running Company's CRC Signature Series August race, the Blacklick Creek 5 Miler! Summertime will be no match for you as you'll be under a cool green canopy while you traverse this 5 mile course along the paved and scenic Blacklick Creek Greenway Trail!
We have a new location this year! Beginning at Portman Park, the flat, fast and mostly shaded out-and-back course will be run entirely on the Blacklick Trail, ending right where you began. Whether you're looking for a new and unique distance to try, you've been reminiscing on your old college 8K days, or you're looking for a "race prep" opportunity, the Blacklick Creek 5 Miler is here to provide that for you!

Please note, there will be no parking at Portman Park. Shuttles will run from the Kroger parking lot to Portman Park from 6:30am to 11:00am to ensure a safe, quick commute for participants. Check out our Race Day Parking page for more information.

Hitting a 5 Mile PB just got even easier! Certain brave and trusted souls have taken it upon themselves to guide you through this flat and fast course at various common paces. You can expect to find pacers for the following minutes per mile.
8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30
Pacers will be made visible by the signs they hold indicating the pace. Be sure to find your pace ahead of time and line up accordingly.
