About Our Race

In-Person Race Start times: 6:50 PM Kids Race, 7:00 PM 3K/5K/10K

The 2FGR Run for Inclusion was started in 2009 by the running group 2FGR (Two Fat Guys Running), with the very modest goal to raise $5,000 in support of the Down syndrome community.  Now going on its 17th year, the 2FGR Run for Inclusion has donated nearly $600,000 in its first 16 years.

Starting in 2025, the event benefits Team Heart & Sole and DSACO.

Team Heart & Sole’s mission is to provide inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities, their families, and friends to participate in endurance racing events across Ohio, while building authentic relationships through teamwork.

DSACO’s mission is to support families, promote community, and encourage a lifetime of opportunities for people with Down syndrome.

4 Paws for Ability's mission is to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by placing life-changing service dogs. Based in Xenia, Ohio, 4 Paws breeds, trains, and places task-trained service dogs with children and veterans — helping families access greater independence and opportunity.

Introducing the 2FGR Medal Series

Four years. Four medals. One incredible keepsake.

Starting in 2026, every finisher earns a collectible wedge-shaped medal built to connect with the next. Each one represents a value at the core of our mission: Community, Inclusion, Health, and Family. Connect all four magnetically and they form a complete circle of clasped hands.

Complete the series in 2029 and you'll unlock a fifth piece: a center medallion with a slot for your finish line photo. It's the centerpiece of four years of showing up, lacing up, and running for something bigger than yourself.

2026 is Year 1. Start your collection at this year's finish line!
