Kat Walk

Welcome to the 7th and final year of the Kat Walk! We are continuing to honor Katherine this year by making the 7th year the final year since 7 was Katherine's favorite number. This year's Kat Walk will again be a 3K walk to local Hamilton businesses to raise money and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Donations and a scholarship to be awarded in honor of Katherine Schindler. The proceeds of this event are donated to several organizations close to her heart and ours: NAMI, 1N5, Fernside, and Donate Life (in her passing, Katherine was able to gift organs to others). Katherine was a 2014 graduate of Badin H.S. and as such we award a scholarship to a graduating student that possesses a little of Katherine's passion and compassion. We feel that this walk is a great opportunity to remember her and to raise awareness and funds so that others can know that they are never alone and always loved.

Registration will remain open until the event start. However, if you register prior to 9/6/25 you will receive a free tee shirt! Like last year the 3K walk will have you walking downtown Hamilton with stops along the way at the Casual Pint, Municipal Brew Works and the 513 and ending at the back at the HUB. Check in will begin at 12:15pm at the Hamilton Urban Backyard and the walk will begin at 1pm. There are some little incentives for those who walk the whole 3K. There will be some representatives of various organizations on hand to help educate us about mental health issues. Like every year, we will have some extraordinary raffle baskets located at the HUB. Ticket sales will end at 4:30pm and the raffle will begin at 5pm at the HUB.

This year we have some high value liqour baskets that we will be accepting presale for.  There are 10 Total Baskets including Bourbon/Wine/Other Liquors. 

Drawing will occur on Sept 28, 2025, at 5PM during the Katherine Schindler Memorial walk (winners do not need to present to win)
