Monsters at the Mall Race Weekend

The Monsters at the Mall Race Weekend partners with the Salvation Army to provide funding for the Coats for Kids Program! This event will feature two exciting races for all ages, both taking place on Saturday, October 25th, 2025.

We will kick off the weekend with the Eddie Morrison Mile run/walk which will take place at the Ohio Valley Mall at 8:30 am. Edna Morrison, or "Eddie", as we know her, loved to hear about our races. She always asked about everything going on with the Monsters at the Mall 5k and would even start the race for us for the first two years. She was one of the most beautiful and giving people that we’ve ever known, and she would do anything for anybody. We’re proud to host this 1 mile race in her memory!

The Monsters at the Mall 5k run/walk will begin at 9:05 am, as participants dressed in their scariest and silliest costumes will start at the rear entrance of the mall with an exciting finish inside Boscov’s court!

Chip timing will be provided for both races. Both the mile and 5k are fast, flat courses that are perfect for anyone chasing that PR, and BOTH courses will finish inside the mall. 
The event features fun activities for all ages with a free kids dash for ages 10 & under, post-race refreshments, and award ceremony to follow. 

Awards for the 5k include trophies for the top 3 male/female overall runner and walker and medallions for the top 3 in each age group. 

The Eddie Morrison Mile will feature trophies for the top 3 male/female overall runner and walker and for the top participant in each age group.

Try our 2 race challenge! For the first time, the male and female runner/walker with the lowest combined time will receive an additional award!

PACKET PICKUP

Race Day registration for the Eddie Morrison Mile and Monsters at the Mall 5k on Saturday morning will begin at the rear entrance of the mall at 7:00 am . Race starts at 8:30 and 9:05 am
