The Chocolate Trail Bike Ride is an all-ages, family-friendly ride. Choose from 6.5, 14, and 28 mile routes, each of which have chocolate stops along the way. The ride begins in downtown Xenia and takes you through the scenic bike path the entire trip. All finishers are welcome to stay downtown for their final delicious chocolate stop. A portion of the proceeds will go toward revitalization efforts in downtown Xenia.
6.5 mile - 1 chocolate stop + bonus chocolate at the finish line
14 miles - 3 chocolate stops + bonus chocolate at the finish line
28 miles - 5 chocolate stops + bonus chocolate at the finish line
Here are a few things to note prior to your arrival to downtown Xenia on September 12.
Packet pick-up will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 7:00-8:00am at Xenia Station, located at 150 S. Miami Ave. in Xenia, OH.
Saturday Morning Parking
There is plenty of free parking at Xenia Station. If the lot is full upon your arrival, you are welcome to find free on-street parking around the downtown.
All cyclists, regardless of the distance chosen, will begin at the same point at the same time and will head in the same direction. You will see directional signs throughout the routes notifying riders of the appropriate time to turn around.
Please note that, although we will be utilizing the bike path for the entire road, you will be cross some streets, and all roads are open to vehicles. For your safety, it is important for you to obey all traffic laws and to keep an eye out for vehicles.
In Case of Emergency
At the Chocolate Trail Bike Ride, we want all riders to feel safe. If you experience any difficulties while cycling or notice anyone who may be in need, please call 937-238-0007, and a driver will arrive to either aid in bike repairs or take you straight to the finish line
This bike ride is not a timed race. Please ride at your leisure and take the time to enjoy all of the chocolate treats that are offered throughout the ride. The 6.5-mile route will have one chocolate stop; the 14-mile route will have three chocolate stops; and the 28-mile route will have five chocolate stops during the ride. All cyclists are invited to stay at the finish line for a final additional chocolate stop. Water will also be available at most of the chocolate stops. All riders, friends, and family are welcome to stay at the finish line (Xenia Station) for as long as desired.
A portion of the proceeds from the event goes toward the revitalization of downtown Xenia. We hope you are able to spend time in the area and that you enjoy your stay.
