3rd Annual Run to Remember

Legacies Alive is proud to announce our 3rd Annual Run to Remember. This 5k fun run/walk is open to all skill level and age groups.  The day will begin at the beautiful Brady's Run Park outdoor walking track with delicious breakfast sandwiches and beverages, and getting to know about our organization and our Heroes.  Participants will not have timers, however, we will provide an unofficial time clock for those who are running the race.  After the race is where we love to have everyone stick around and get to know us and our Gold Star Families. We all get to see old friends, make new ones and get to share the story of Legacies Alive and our mission.

Legacies Alive is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit that focuses on Gold Star families. The term “Gold Star” describes a family member who has lost a loved one in military service. The Gold Star first made an appearance during World War I after being placed over a service flag’s blue star when a service member was killed in combat. The Gold Star signified the family’s pride in their loved one’s sacrifice rather than the mourning of their personal loss. Many Gold Star families wear the Gold Star lapel pin to signify their pride. Legacies Alive endeavors to provide unwavering support to our nation’s Gold Star families. We do so by connecting Gold Star families and providing them direct support and resources.
