With 7, 14, 21, and 28-mile race options, the UltraTrax Challenge at Bear Creek Mountain in Macungie, PA, is a scenic trek through the trails and winding paths of the mountain. Participants will journey through varied terrain and elevation up to 1,200 feet to push their mental and physical capabilities. Level up the experience by adding a 10, 20 pound or 35 pound weighted vest or pack to earn additional swag. Can you make it to the finish line before the 10 hour cutoff?

This amazing route follows a mix of paved, gravel, dirt and rocky paths. This event is perfect for beginners, seasoned vets, and those looking for a personal best. The course will be extremely well marked with great aid stations along the way!

Race Day Information

UltraTrax Bear Creek kicks off at 7am on April 19, 2026. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am with the post-race party starting at 11am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event at the Bear Creek Lodge. **IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 4/1/26, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON THE MORNING OF THE EVENT. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend. Complimentary parking is available at Bear Creek Mountain Resort. Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt and patch. Level 3 and 4 participants will also qualify to earn our coveted UltraTrek Grey Wolf medal. Refreshments and food will be available after the race.

THIS EVENT WILL BE TAKING PLACE RAIN OR SHINE. We'll plan to assess the situation further if thunderstorms become a concern while athletes are on the mountain. We'll have a bag drop in the Bear Creek Lodge, so definitely bring a dry pair of socks and shoes and a change of clothes so that you can enjoy the post-trek celebration.

Course Information

UltraTrax Bear Creek is an incredible trail up and down the ski mountain, offering stunning views and varied terrain throughout the course. It is a 7-mile loop, allowing participants to easily choose between our 7, 14, 21 or 28 mile distance options.
