Grandparents Day 2K Walk Waiver and Release of Liability

By registering for and participating in the Grandparents Day 2K: Generations on the Move event, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that participation in a walk event involves physical activity that may include, but is not limited to, walking on paved or uneven surfaces, exposure to varying weather conditions, and interaction with other participants. I certify that I am physically able to participate and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, weather conditions, and any risks that may arise from the route or the event facilities. I understand that the walk will take place on a designated bike path away from vehicular roads to promote safety, and that every reasonable effort will be made to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release and hold harmless the Troy Senior Citizens Center, its staff, volunteers, event organizers, sponsors, and all affiliated parties from any and all liability for injuries, damages, or losses that I may incur as a result of my participation in this event.

I also grant permission for the use of any photographs, video, or other media taken during the event that may include my image, for promotional and informational purposes without compensation.

If I am registering a minor or others on their behalf, I certify that I have the authority to do so and that they also understand and agree to these terms.

By completing my registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to this waiver and release of liability.
