At Avera, our top priority is the well-being of our patients, staff and community. During this time of uncertainty, we are monitoring COVID-19 every day with a primary goal of keeping our communities safe and healthy. With social distancing recommendations, the Avera Marshall Foundation has come to the decision to change this year’s Ride or Stride Toward a Cure to a completely virtual event.
Your support of the Virtual Ride or Stride is needed now more than ever. If you have already registered, THANK YOU for your support and understanding. If you have yet to sign up, we hope that you will do so. The tradition of the Avera Race cannot be diminished and we will continue to support local cancer patients and their families. Thanks to your dedication and loyal participation, the Virtual Ride or Stride will prevail and continue providing vital funds to support cancer care at Avera Marshall.
I already registered for the Ride or Stride, do I need to register again for the Virtual event?
Thanks for your support! If you have already registered, you will automatically be registered in the virtual event.
When does online registration end?
The Virtual Ride or Stride registration will remain open throughout the race week.
I am registered but do not want to participate in the Virtual Ride or Stride. Am I able to get a refund?
The Ride or Stride is unable to process refunds for registrations. If you are unable to participate or choose to not take place in the Virtual race, you may transfer your registration to another individual, or ask that your registration be converted to a donation. Our patients need your support more than ever.
So when do I run/walk/bike?
We encourage you to complete your Virtual Walk, 5K, 10K or Bike Ride during the week of June 1 - 7.
Will the 5K, 10K or Camden Bike Race be timed?
No, there will be no official timing for those who choose to participate in the virtual 5K, 10K and Camden Bike Race.
When will I get my t-shirt?
Due to CDC recommendations, we will not be able to have t-shirts available prior to race week. A pick-up date/time will be communicated at a later date.
