FAQs
A: Absolutely! Dogs are welcome — just make sure they’re on a leash. Zombies have a tendency to chase things that run loose, and we’d hate for your pup to start the apocalypse early.
A: Nope! Zombies may shuffle slowly, but they’re very patient. Many participants walk the course, so you can take your time — just try not to look tastier than the person next to you.
A: Yes! Just make sure it’s a trusted friend — once they get your bib, they technically control your identity in the zombie apocalypse. Choose wisely.
Overall, Masters, and Age Group medals (5-year divisions up to 80 & Up) will be awarded to the top 3 Zombies. Every participant will receive a limited-edition T-shirt—register early to guarantee your size! Consider it your proof that you outran the horde.
Yes, online registration will remain open until the race begins. There will be no paper forms or cash option at Right Brain, but you can register on your phone—even from your car—before picking up your bib. Please note that race day registration fees are higher, so registering early is recommended.
Parking is available at Cone Drive from 7:00am–11:30am. Please use the Griffin Street entrance (E 12th entrance will not be open). All cars must be moved by 12:00pm, as the gates will close at that time.
Where can’t I park?
Parking is not allowed on 16th Street in front of Right Brain Brewery or on Lake Ridge Drive (the road that connects 14th and 16th Street).
Yes, porta-potties are available outside of Right Brain.
The start and finish line are both at Right Brain Brewery—the heart of the outbreak! All runners will rise and return to the same spot… conveniently close to post-race refreshments.
Yes, but proceed at your own risk. Zombies are not known for politely announcing themselves when sneaking up from behind. The RRCA recommends leaving the earbuds at home so you can hear volunteers, emergency vehicles, and the occasional groan of the undead. If you do choose to wear them, keep the volume low and one ear open… otherwise you might be the first one eaten.
There won’t be aid stations out on the course, so bring what you need if you like having water along the way. After you finish, Meijer will be providing chocolate milk, water, and snacks to help you refuel. And if you’d like to celebrate, Right Brain Brewery will have beverages available for purchase.
You’ll collect your survival kit (a.k.a. race packet) at Right Brain Brewery.

Yes. Strollers are welcome at the Zombie Run. The RRCA reminds participants to line up toward the back to keep things safe and smooth for everyone. Zombies may stumble but we do not want runners tripping. Bring the little ones along, they make excellent zombie spotters.
