This first annual end-of-the-season Fall ride and celebration party hosted by Lick Skillet Farm offers something for everyone.
For cyclists, five routes from a beginner friendly 20 miler to a moderately challenging metric century to the soon-to-be infamous Stoopid Steep Half Century with numerous serious hills and grades of over 20%!
Parts of a few routes overlap with sections of our very popular Ride The Plains event, but most of the routes have never been included in organized rides before, so here is a chance to discover some fantastic new rides through beautiful country scenes and Fall colors.
Non-cycling family and friends can enjoy a fall day hanging out at the farm and enjoying educational tours, fun activities, and live music. Children under 6 are free and all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
After your ride, enjoy the celebration party hosted by Lick Skillet Farm including gourmet burgers catered by Simpl Restaurant, all-you-can eat homemade ice cream, and a cash beer bar. Relax as long as you want with the live music while you relive the race season with family and friends.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to New Market Elementary School and donations will be accepted.
As always, the ride is fully supported with clear route markings, well stocked rest stops, and SAG support. The SWAG bag will include a great looking LONG SLEEVE shirt and all Stoopid Steep riders will get a pair of limited edition cycling socks commemorating their suffering.
The Lick Skillet Scramble is an event of Lick Skillet Farm, a Century Farm in New Market, TN, raising beef cattle, pork, lamb, and eggs. For more information or to schedule a visit, please go to https://lickskillet.farm
