Event Description

Join us for the Bluebonnet Run 5K/10K/FunRun in Ennis, Texas, held during the iconic Ennis Bluebonnet Festival. Known as the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas, Ennis offers a one-of-a-kind race experience through scenic routes that showcase the area’s natural beauty.

Runners will travel through a mix of open landscapes and peaceful park views, including areas near Kachina Prairie, Lake Clark Park and Dam, and the Ennis Municipal Airport, with portions of the course winding through tree-covered paths and wide-open stretches that highlight why Ennis is famous each spring.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best or enjoying a relaxed run or walk with family and friends, this event is designed for all experience levels.

All proceeds support CROME Nonprofit, funding mentorship programs, scholarships, and career resources that help local students achieve post-secondary success in both traditional and non-traditional pathways.

- 5K Fun Run – Timed, relaxed option for walkers, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy the course without race pressure

All participants receive a race bib, and each race will start at different times to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Run With Purpose: Every step supports CROME’s scholarships and mentorship initiatives for local students.
Festival Weekend: Make it a full day and enjoy the festivities of the Ennis Bluebonnet Festival after the race.

Parking Information for Bluebonnet Run

Here's where you can conveniently park on race day:

North Parking Lot: Near NW Main Street and W Baylor Street.

South End of NW Main: Near Romeros On Main , with additional parking available further down across Ennis Ave.

Additional Parking: At the top of Pierce Park and on the east side of the railroad tracks adjacent to the Ennis Railroad Museum.

All parking locations are free.

Dogs are not allowed on the race course.
This follows USATF safety guidelines and helps keep all runners, walkers, and volunteers safe throughout the event.

Participants have up to 2 hours to complete the race.
This time limit helps ensure the course, volunteers, and safety resources remain available for all participants.

Headphones and earbuds are discouraged during the race 🎧⚠️

For your safety and the safety of others, we recommend running without them so you can hear instructions, emergency vehicles, and fellow participants. If you choose to wear them, please keep the volume low and stay aware of your surroundings at all times.

Yes, but.

Someone else may pick up your packet for you, but you must have already completed and signed your waiver in advance. Without a signed waiver on file, packets cannot be released.

If you’re unable to sign ahead of time, you can still pick up your packet yourself on race morning.
