Komen Houston is celebrating 35 years! Join us downtown at Sam Houston Park and experience our Komen Houston Race for the Cure 5K along Allen Parkway with the city skyline as a beautiful backdrop! Whether you walk, run or participate virtually, ending breast cancer needs all of us.

What is the cost to register?
Adult: $45
Virtual Adult: $45
Youth (under 18): $35
Virtual Youth (under 18) $35
How long is the Race? The Race is approximately three miles. You may also choose to walk/run a one-mile route.
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event? For the safety of event participants, only service animals will be allowed at the event.
Can I walk the Race? Absolutely!
Why We Race
Mary's Story
I’ve lost an aunt to breast cancer and over the years, some of my very best friends on my team have gone through a diagnosis. While I hate adding names to my Race bib, I know the money I raise supports crucial work to help find the cures to end breast cancer.

Shirts/Packet Pick-up
2025 Race Shirt
Every registered participant will receive an event T-shirt. Shirts for survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will be in special colors to recognize their role in our event.
WE WILL NOT BE MAILING RACE PACKETS THIS YEAR. Instead, in-person packet pick up(s) will be inside of the Heights neighborhood Kroger. Race packets will include your 2025 race t-shirt, race bib, safety pins, and race program. Shirt sizes at packet pick-up(s) and on race morning are not guaranteed.
Packet Pick-Up
Location: Kroger, 1035 N Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX 77008
Dates: Wednesday, October 1st and Thursday, October 2nd
Times: 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Street parking is available.
Shirt sizes at Packet Pick-Up(s) and on Race morning are not guaranteed.
Medals/Timing Chips
Purchase the $10 timing chip/select the 5K Route option at registration to receive a timing chip and be eligible for awards.

Race Results
All timed participants will receive an individual results page complete with your results, pace breakdown, a finisher certificate & a 20 second video of you crossing the start & finish line!
