Blobfest Run 2025 – Frequently Asked Questions
1. When and where is packet pickup?
Saturday, July 12 at the Blobfest Street Fair, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in front of the Colonial Theatre on Bridge Street, Phoenixville.
Sunday, July 13 (Race Day) starting at 6:00 am INSIDE the Colonial Theatre.
A friend can pick up your packet—just make sure they have a photo of your ID.
2. Is there a bag drop?
There is no formal bag drop, but runners may leave bags in the vestibule of the Colonial Theatre.
This area is unmanned, and we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Please do not leave valuables (e.g. wallets, phones, AirPods).
A change of clothes, flip flops, snacks, or power bars are totally fine!
3. Where should I park?
Free Shuttle Parking is available at:
Phoenixville Area Middle School
📍 GPS for SHUTTLE LOT
Shuttles run 6:00 am to 11:00 am.
5K and 10K runners are encouraged to park here.
Half marathoners should only park here if they’ve picked up their bibs on Saturday.
Spectators are welcome to ride the shuttle.

- Lot between the Municipal Building and The Foodery (325 Bridge St.)
- Taylor Alley & South Main Street
- Borough Hall Lot (351 Bridge St.)
- Smithworks Lot (30 N. Main St.)
Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to limited Sunday parking in Phoenixville.
4. What time do the races start?
Half Marathon: 7:00 am
10K: 8:00 am
5K: 8:10 am
Kids Run: 8:15 am
5. Are strollers or dogs allowed?
Strollers are allowed in all races, but they must be jogging strollers for safety.
Dogs are strongly discouraged due to the high number of participants and narrow course areas.
6. How do wave starts work?
All races (except the Kids Run) will start in waves based on expected pace to help manage traffic.
Line up by your pace—your chip time begins when you cross the start line.
7. Can I switch race distances?
Yes!
Before race day: Email info@runegades.com
On race day: Visit the blue timer tent BEFORE you run to switch distances.
8. Are there pacers?
Half Marathon: Pacers every 5 minutes from 1:35 to 2:30 finish times
10K: Pacers every 30 seconds from 8:00 to 11:30 per mile
9. Are there water stops?
Half: Miles 1, 3.1, 4.7, 6.55, 7.3, 9.2, 11.1, 11.8
10K: Miles 1, 3.1, 4.7
5K: Mile 1.8
Given the forecast, 10K and Half runners are encouraged to bring their own water.
10. What is the course surface like?
5K Course: Entirely macadam (paved).
10K and Half Marathon: Approximately 3 miles of crushed hardpack trail; the rest is macadam.
11. What’s the weather forecast?
Expect warm July temps—70°F at 7 am, rising into the 80s by 10 am.
Hydrate well and consider dropping to a shorter distance if needed.
12. Where are the bathrooms?
14 porta-potties under the Gay Street Bridge
6 porta-potties at Bridge & Main
Indoor restrooms on the first floor of the Colonial Theatre (expect lines, get in early!)
13. Are the trails open to the public?
Yes. The Blobfest Run is held on public trails, including the Schuylkill River Trail.
Please stay to the right, and be respectful of cyclists and other pedestrians using the trail.
