2020 CRUSHER IN THE TUSHAR UPDATE

Dear Crusher Family,

It’s with an exceptionally heavy heart that we have to announce the cancelation of the 2020 Crusher in the Tushar. Anyone who knows me, even a little, probably has an inkling that I sweat the details, both large and small. At the end of the day, after considering every scenario under the sun (and moon), I keep coming back to the same conclusion: That celebrating our 10th anniversary of the Crusher in a manner that honors such an occasion is simply not going to be possible this year.
I’ve had a vision in my mind of what I wanted our 10th edition to look like for a while now. It was a celebration of possibilities, not limitation. Your possibilities and ours.
In looking at balancing the safety of our riders, volunteers and the community in concert with guidelines, directives and what’s known and unknown, it became painfully clear that providing an experience that is up to snuff with our standards and yours just wasn’t going to happen in 2020.
So let’s do this thing the right way at the right time.
We’ll see you in 2021 to do it up proper, like it’s meant to be done. I’m talking sweat-encrusted hugs mixing with tears of joy and cursing of me at a proximity not currently recommended by the CDC.
In the meantime, rest assured I will not cease my restless scheming, plotting and planning along with my new teammates at Life Time, who I’m super grateful to for helping me work through this incredibly tough process.
Keep your chin up Buttercups and be nice to each other, because we’re all in this thing together. And we will come out the other side. And we HAVE to make sure we’re better for it.
Lastly, don’t think for one second I plan on letting the Crusher flame dim or flicker in 2020. You never know what I might have up my sleeve, so keep your eyes peeled!
Love you all,
- Burke
