Dominion Energy Riverrock, organized by Richmond non-profits Sports Backers & Venture Richmond, began in 2009 & is now the nation's premier outdoor sports & lifestyle festival, bringing athletes, spectators, musicians, & even dogs to Brown’s Island & Historic Tredegar for a three-day festival against the backdrop of downtown Richmond’s urban riverfront. The festival was designed to promote Richmond’s unique riverfront, downtown trails & whitewater rapids to outdoor enthusiasts. As a result of the creation of Dominion Riverrock, there is a stronger appreciation for the value of outdoor recreation throughout the entire Richmond region.Sports Backers Venture Richmond
The James River Park System & the Richmond Riverfront is an extremely important asset to Richmond. Please consider a donation to benefit the James River Park System & Richmond Riverfront. Your gift will help maintain, improve & enhance the James River Park System trails & riverfront. This nationally acclaimed trail system would not be what it is today without the hard work of countless volunteers throughout the year & it is donations like yours that make this work possible. 2019 Dominion Energy Riverrock donations supported two important projects taking place in our Park System & around our Riverfront: rehabbing the Maymont ramp on the North Bank Trail by the James River Park System staff (completed November 2019) & a universal access ramp at Huguenot Flatwater through the James River Outdoor Coalition’s efforts.Donate
