WELCOME TO THE VIENNA TURKEY TROT!!
The James Madison High School Band will be hosting the 23rd Annual Vienna Turkey Trot 5K/10K and Fun Run. All proceeds benefit the JMHS "Pride of Vienna" Band and the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.
Join us for a great run and super music by our JMHS Band! Wear your best turkey and holiday gear. Enjoy race snacks and refreshments after the race.

8:00 am: Kids Fun Run
8:30 am: 5K/10K
Fees:
5k Run: $40 through October 20
$45 October 21 through race day
10k run: $45 through October 20
$50 October 21 until race day
Kids' Fun Run: $20
Parents do not need to register to run with their children in the Fun Run, but they are welcome to do so.
NOTE: Runners registering after 11/3/2025 are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Runners who register after 11/3/2025 may check after the race to see if extra shirts are available.
Online registration will remain open through Race Day, November 23 at 8:00 am. All registrations must be done online.
Packet Pick Up: SAVE YOURSELF A WAIT IN LINE ON RACE DAY: Register online and pick up your packet on Friday and Saturday before the race!

Location: Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, 400 Center St, Vienna, VA (Second Floor)
Time: 7:00am to 8:00 am
Online Race registration will close at 8:00am
Awards are three deep for male/female winners, in the following age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
RUNNER INSTRUCTIONS
- Start Time & Timing
To receive an official time for the 5K or 10K, you must start by 8:30 AM. The start line will remain open for only 5 minutes after the official gun start. Runners who start late will not receive an official time. - Important: If you arrive late, do not enter the finish line area unless you have completed your full race.
Race Day Arrival Tips
- Arrive early to allow time for parking and walking to the start.
- Picking up your bib on race day? Arrive at least 30 minutes early.
- Finish Line Etiquette: Keep moving through the finish chute—don’t stop or wait inside for friends/family. This helps avoid congestion and keeps everyone safe.
10K Participants: If you decide to change to the 5K, please do so prior to the start of the race, You can email terri@prrunandwalk.com to make the distance change (ideally), make the change when you pick up your packet, or let the timers know prior to the race.
Timing Chips (ChronoTrack B-Tag): Chips are attached to the back of your bib. To ensure accurate timing:
- Wear your bib on the front of your torso
- Don’t fold, wrinkle, or modify your bib
- Pin it in all four corners
- Keep it visible (no jackets or belts covering it)
- Wear the correct bib assigned to you
