The Virginia Credit Union Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy is back for its 18th year!

Cap2Cap is the annual bike ride fundraiser event for the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation.  The ride features four distances: Century (100 miles), Half (50 miles), Quarter (25 miles), a 7-mile Family Fun Ride, as well as a 2-Day, Virtual, and Shuttle option.

Start and finish whenever and wherever you like to ride along the Virginia Capital Trail.  Enjoy the Party Zones at Chickahominy Riverfront Park on Friday or at Dorey Park on Saturday.  Riders will be supported by five Rest Stops over the 51.7 mile trail and will receive Cap2Cap merchandise, lunch, a beverage ticket, coupons, and more!

On the Capital Trail

The Virginia Credit Union Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy will use an Open-Start format in 2023: you can start and finish anywhere on the Virginia Capital Trail!  Course support (Rest Stops and SAG) will be active between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the Trail on Cap2Cap weekend, Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th.

When planning your ride, consider the location of the Party Zone, which is the only place you will be able to redeem your lunch and drink ticket.

Party Zones

There are two Party Zones to choose from!  Friday's is at Chickahominy Riverfront Park in Williamsburg and Saturday's is at Dorey Park in Henrico.  You choose your day when you register.

On whichever Ride Day you select, and only on that day, the tickets attached to your bib will be good for lunch and a beverage at the corresponding Party Zone site where there will be music, vendors, and more!  Day-of Packet Pick-Up will be held earlier in the day in the same location as the Party Zone.

If you create a fundraiser during registration and raise $250 by May 10th, your registration fee will be refunded (excludes VIR Shuttle Package registrants).

Can't Make It In Person? Do The Virtual Cap2Cap!

Virtual riders will select a distance goal for their Cap2Cap ride during registration and will be able to ride and submit results between May 1st and May 31st.

While we recommend planning your ride on the Virginia Capital Trail, this is not required.

Virtual participants will receive the official Cap2Cap t-shirt, drawstring bag, and water bottle, shipped in early June,

along with any store purchases made in association with registration.

Refunds

You can login to your RunSignUp Account and transfer to another distance until April 19th at midnight.

We do not allow refunds on this event. Cap2Cap is rain or shine. In case of severe weather or a local/state/national emergency,

VCTF reserves the right to cancel/alter/modify the ride for safety concerns.

In any case, we do not refund ride fees, transfer registration to another year, or transfer registration to other riders.
