Event Day Volunteer Information

Details

All volunteers must arrive at Bonelli Park at 6am to check in. Emails will be sent out in regards to the volunteer meeting and other important event day information and instructions.

Details

Help register and check-in participants as they arrive onsite.
Volunteers will help to provide race items to participants (Bib, timing chip, t-shirt). Volunteers should have good communication and technology skills.

Volunteers will be utilized for various other duties after Check-In has completed.

*If possible, it would be appreciated if volunteers can stay until the event is over, to assist with Breakdown and Clean Up.

Post Race Food High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position will be responsible for Post Race Food set up and distribution. Volunteers will help prepare and pass out post race food items (water, fruit, snacks).

Volunteers should be able to manage light lifting and standing for 3+ hours.

Volunteers will be utilized for various other duties after post race food preparation and distribution has completed.

*If possible, it would be appreciated if volunteers can stay until the event is over, to assist with Breakdown and Clean Up.

Vendor Fair Set Up & Breakdown High Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will help event crew set up and break down event equipment.
Volunteers will also support vendors with load-in and load-out of their booths.
Volunteers should be able to manage light lifting and standing for 3+ hours

Volunteers will be utilized for various other duties after set up and breakdown has been completed.

*If possible, it would be appreciated if volunteers can stay until the event is over, to assist with Breakdown and Clean Up.

Course Monitors High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will help participants along the course to identify course directions. Volunteers should be energetic, outspoken and able to manage standing for 2+ hours. Course monitors are required to carry a cell phone to call for assistance should a participant need aid.


*If possible, it would be appreciated if volunteers can stay until the event is over, to assist with Breakdown and Clean Up.

Fluid Station High Priority

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will hand out water along the course to participants.
Volunteers should be able lift light loads and stand for 3+ hours.

*If possible, it would be appreciated if volunteers can stay until the event is over, to assist with Breakdown and Clean Up.

Finish Line Medals High Priority

This volunteer task is full.

Details

Volunteers will assist in setting up the medal tables in preparation for end of race where they will hand out medals to all finishers.
May require long periods of standing and rotating during the finish.

Raffle High Priority

Details

Volunteer will assist with raffle set up, ticket sales and distribution of prizes.
Volunteers should be able to manage light lifting and standing for 3+ hours.

Goodie Bag

Details

Volunteers will assist with some goodie bag set up and hand out to participants after they have checked in.

Volunteers should be able to manage light lifting and standing for 3+ hours.

Bonnie Fang Foundation Tent Assist High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Volunteers will assist with getting all Nurses Rock merchandise set up and collect payment for donations, and share information about the Bonnie Fang Foundation.

Volunteers should be able to manage light lifting and standing for 3+ hours.

*If possible, it would be appreciated if volunteers can stay until the event is over, to assist with Breakdown and Clean Up.

Parking Monitor High Priority

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will serve in directing traffic, help manage traffic flow, direct participants to available parking lots near the venue, and alert Bonelli park guests of the Nurses Rock event taking place that morning.The monitors at the parking lot locations are to alert drivers of the runners.

Volunteers should be able to manage to stand for 3+ hours.
