Aid Station #1 Afternoon/evening support High Priority

May 22, 2021

Details

Aid stations are fun, and critically important to our event. Riders come into these stations often worn down and tired. They need hydration, food, and a morale boost!
Each aid station is managed by an organizational group or local company (Rotary, Rocky Mounts, Search and Rescue) Each of these groups needs additional volunteers to help manage the many tasks at an aid station. Refilling water jugs, putting out more food ( all prepackaged and single-serving). It can be busy and exciting. And their can be lulls in the action between groups. It is recommended that you bring a camp chair for the down times and a positive, helpful attitude is a must! It is very rewarding and inspiring to see what these riders go though to ride as much as 185 miles in a single day!
