Enthusiasm a must here!
Volunteers at this location must not
have any physical limitations.
You will have one of three jobs:
1. Finish Line Catchers congratulate &
assist our triathletes after they
cross
the finish line. Your
responsibilities
may include: walking with, holding up,
or carrying athletes while escorting
them through the "Finisher Process"
of:
timing chip removal, receiving their
finisher???s medal & t-shirt and as
necessary offer water and food. You
may
also need to assist athletes to the
medical tent
2. Finish Line Awards: Congratulate
the
athletes and handing our their
official
finisher medal & t-shirt.
3. Timing Chip Collector: You will be
doing a lot of squatting and
stabilizing
as you assist our triathletes after
they
cross the finish line. Your
responsibilities will include: walking
with, bending down and removing the
timing chip strap on the ankle of the
athletes.

Kayak - Sprint & Kids race

Details

Prior kayaking experience is required
and must be 16 years of age or older.

Monitor our athletes during the race. You will be
positioned around the entire course,
and
help guide straying swimmers back onto
the course, while keeping spectator
boats off the
course. Kayakers are often the first
point of contact for swimmers who are
seeking assistance. You may provide a
resting place for swimmers to
momentarily catch their breath or a
place to hold onto
while they massage out a cramp.

***Most importantly*** you will have
the lead responsibility for detecting
swimmers in distress, making the
initial
contact, and, if needed, initiating a
rescue.***

You must be able to provide your own
boat, paddle, whistle, and PFD. (if
you
have kayaking experience but do not
have
your own kayak, please note that in
the
comments field - we often have extra
kayaks)

Lifeguards - Sprint & Kids Race

Details

A current lifeguard and CPR
certification is required. Compensation - $100 for the shift

As a part of our Rev3 team, lifeguards
will be stationed on powerboats, jet-
skis, or rescue boards on the swim
course. You will be responsible for
recognizing distressed athletes,
recovering them from the water, and
transporting them to a powerboat for
removal from the water.
Lifeguards also provide the first line
of medical care for injured or ill
athletes.

Run Aid Station & Swim Start Sprint Race

OPPORTUNITY
You will be part of an energetic team
that will:
1. Set-up the aid station tables &
signage, prepare the beverages, fill
water cups and slice fruit. (All
supplies will be delivered to you.
Detailed instructions will be
provided.
2. Hand-off water &/or sport beverage
cups, fruit and energy bars to
athletes
as they run by. Detailed instructions
will be provided.
3. Cheer on the athletes
4. And finally, clean up your aid
station, pick up trash and pack-up
tables and signage for pick-up --
leaving the surrounding area more
beautiful than when you arrived.

Transition Area - Sprint

We can always use some extra help to
keep everyone and everything safe and
sound.
Your job as a transition volunteer
will
be to secure key areas controlling
crowd
traffic, as well as making sure only
those with proper credentials get into
secured transition area. You may also
be needed to direct triathletes,
answer
questions, or take athletes to medical
area if necessary. There will be
several
shifts of volunteers needed for this
area during the day. Volunteers on the
last shift will assist in tear-down
and
clean-up. Specific duties will be
assigned on race day by the Transition
Coordinator.

We can always use some extra help to
keep everyone and everything safe and
sound.
Your job as a transition volunteer
will
be to secure key areas controlling
crowd
traffic, as well as making sure only
those with proper credentials get into
secured transition area. You may also
be needed to direct triathletes,
answer
questions, or take athletes to medical
area if necessary. There will be
several
shifts of volunteers needed for this
area during the day. Volunteers on the
last shift will assist in tear-down
and

athletes as they ride by.

station, pick up trash and pack-up
tables and signage for pick-up --
leaving the surrounding area more
beautiful than when you arrived.

Bike Leads on Run Course

We are looking for bicyclists to lead
our first out on course athletes. You
will need to supply your own bike &
helmet and be able to handle your bike
to keep
a steady lead on our Pro athletes.
You
will be assigned a position (1st
female
or male, 2nd or 3rd). Detailed
instructions will be given by the
transition coordinator on race day.

Swim Start/Finish Sunday

Early morning volunteers - apply here.
Swim Start - An early morning
opportunity for you; you will need a
strong, patient personality here. You
will be required to keep the athletes
and their adoring spectators separate;
as well as give directions, answer
questions from nervous triathletes,
and
offer aid and assistance as necessary.
After swimmers are all started on the
course you will move to...
Swim Finish - You will get wet !
You will be our athletes first ???land
contact??? & you will get wet - your
job
is important. Cheering as the athletes
come out of the water, you will direct
them toward the transition area. You
will also keep a keen eye out for
athletes that may be somewhat
disoriented or dizzy from moving, from
a
horizontal to vertical position - you
may need to assist, catch and/or offer
a
shoulder or arm to hold on to.
