12 Mile (Family Ride) Rest Stop High Priority

Details

The 12-mile rest stop is located at the Kent Trails North Trailhead, at the corner of O'Brien Road and Butterworth Drive. There's no need to check in at the main site first; you can go directly to your rest stop. Please arrive 10 minutes before your shift starts. You can park in the Millennium Park Trailhead parking lot. Please send a message to the volunteer coordinator to let them know you've arrived.

Your duties will include:
* Setting up the rest stop
* Greeting and assisting cyclists
* Distributing snacks and water
* Providing course information to cyclists and spectators
* Helping to direct traffic flow in the rest area

An aid station box with all necessary materials and a table will be delivered to your location. Please use the instructions in the box to set up the table and then take it down at the end of your shift. Race staff will pick up the table and aid station box.

Bike Valet High Priority

Details

Bike Valets will be working with the Bike Valet Coordinator to manage the bike valet operation and safeguarding bikes throughout the event. Volunteers will tag each bike with a two-piece tag and store bike in valet area. Volunteers will also maintain a secure and clean bike valet area. Second shift will assist with tearing down equipment at the end of the shift.

Please arrive 10 minutes before shift time and check in with the volunteer coordinator at the blue Tris4Health tent.

As a Course Marshal you will ensure that no vehicle other than official course vehicles enter the course. You will be placed at designated locations on the course that are key for the event. Police will be placed at all major course intersections. Must have own transportation.

Finish Line Festival Support High Priority

As a Finish Line Festival volunteer, you will be assigned to assist as needed at the Finish Line Festival area.

Duties may include: Directing riders through the finish line area to the bike valet, ensuring the safety of the participants and spectators by keeping guests off the course, distribute medals to riders near the Finish Line Festival area. Second shift will include tear down of the finish line area.

Packet Pick Up Volunteers will assist in the setup and tear down of the registration area as well with the check in process of each cyclist. Cyclist check in will consist of handing out rider packets, numbers, and t-shirts, and assisting cyclists with any questions they may have about the ride. Also included set up and tear down of packet pick up area.

Tear Down and Support Volunteers will work to assist in the tear down of the Finish Line Festival. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the tear down of festival fencing, staging, signage, and tents, the clean up of beverage and food stations, trash removal, and floating to other volunteer positions and stations as needed.
