Course guards ensure the safety of runners by preventing traffic from entering the course (streets are also barricaded) & they cheer on runners.
Check in between 7:45 and 8:15 to get a safety vest, stop sign, and specific instructions for your position. Travel to your guard position before the 9am race starts.
Your instructions will include mapped details of your intersection: where you should stand, direction runners are moving, etc.
Course guards on Clark and Yellowstone (positions 11 - 24) only work the 5k race which starts at 9am.
Course guards on 2nd and 3rd (positions 1 - 9, and 26-28) work both races. (The Mile race starts at 10am)
When finished, return to the check-in area to turn in your vest and stop sign. Collect your shirt, a snack and our thanks!
