Details

As a courtesy to the participants, the event offers gear check service at the start line of the marathon, half marathon, and the bike tour. Volunteers will assist with accepting participants' gear, organize it by bib #, and prepare it for transport down to the finish line following the start of all events.

Volunteers will be stationed at the Information Tent where participants will visit to find out basic event details and pick-up last minute packets (for those that missed the expo packet pick-up). The tent will be managed by a marathon staff member and volunteer lead who will train volunteers on all FAQ's.

Volunteers will first accept gear from 5K, 10k, and skate participants prior to the start of their race at Washington Square. Water Station Volunteers (Sat, 4/20)

At least 31 more volunteers needed.

Details

There are 19 water stations located along the marathon course route. Volunteers are needed to pour water cups and sports drink, organize tables, clean up used cups, and cheer on runners. This is a very interactive and critical position for event morning as proper hydration is essential to the safety of all participants. Water station locations and shift times depend on the group you select or are assigned. Your captain will reach out directly with this information. If you are not part of a group, you can indicate your preference for times later in this form.

Bike Marshals (Sat, 4/20)

Details

Volunteers are needed to ride their own personal bikes throughout the bike tour from start to finish, monitoring fellow riders and assisting with technical help when appropriate. Marshals are then asked to head back up-course to assist runners who may be experiencing difficulties.

Ham Radio Operator (Sat, 4/20)

Ham radio operators will be stationed at each of the course water stations. Duties include monitoring for low inventory of supplies (i.e. water) and the reporting of situations requiring security or medical assistance.
