Race Week Info:
Instructions for Participants
- While the run and walk share the same start/finish line, the courses are different.
- Walk Course: Turn left, head to the end of the pier, then return directly to the finish line.
- Run Course: Turn right, follow the path around the lagoon, then proceed to the end of the pier and on to the finish line.
- These course differences are designed to reduce congestion at the start line.
- For everyone’s safety:
- Please do not walk or run more than two abreast.
- Walkers & rollers: Runners will be passing from behind—please stay to the right.

Lace up and take part in an unforgettable morning of movement, meaning, and mission. The Stars and Stripes Honor Run & Walk is more than a 5K—it’s a chance to honor our nation’s heroes, support life-changing journeys for our veterans, and come together as a community with purpose.
Held at Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront, this scenic and symbolic course welcomes runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages and paces. Proceeds directly support Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, helping send veterans on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Washington, D.C. to be honored for their service.
This is a race you’ll remember—not just for the views or the finish line, but for the impact.
If you’re running in memory of someone, we’re running with you. Participants will have a special opportunity to honor loved ones and heroes as part of the event.

Everyone who is registered by noon Friday, September 19th will be guaranteed a custom cotton blend unisex t-shirt. After that, T-shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis.
Schedule and Packet Pickup
PLEASE BRING YOUR EMAIL RECEIPT WITH YOU! 
You do not need to print it, but we will need to scan the QR code on the email receipt, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library. We strongly encourage you to pick up your packet early.

Preassembled Team Packets
We’re making race day even easier for teams! Here’s how it works:
If your team has 5 or more members by Friday at noon, we’ll preassemble your entire team’s packets—including:
👕 Race shirts
🏷️ Bibs labeled with each runner’s name, shirt size, bib number, gender, age, and event
These will be ready in one convenient bundle for pickup on race day.
Important:
- One person (Team Captain or designee) should pick up the entire team’s packets. Make sure you tell your team where you are going to meet them to distribute packets.
- No individual pickups will be allowed for qualifying teams.
- Teams with fewer than 5members can still pick up individually.
How to Join a Team (Even if You’re Already Registered)
It’s super easy (and again, free!):
- Head to your race registration at RunSignUp.com
- Click on your Profile
- Scroll to the race
- Select Group/Team
📣 Heads-up for Captains:
If you registered team members using your own email address, they won’t receive race communications. Be sure to forward this info so everyone is in the loop!
Awards
Your race time and age group result are available online after you cross the finish line - select RESULTS from the menu above. All runners will receive a finisher woodle from Ridgeway Woodworks and the top 3 male & female finishers in 5-year age groups will receive a custom woodle. An awards ceremony will take place at the race. Awards can also be picked up after the race at Silver Circle's Global Headquarters in Oconomowoc, WI.
Timing
This race is chip timed by Silver Circle with a chip start. Your time will start when you cross the start line and stops when you cross the finish line.
Aid Station
There will be one aid station on course that participants will pass twice.
