Description
The 15th Annual South Berkeley Christmas 5K race will be on Sunday, December 7th, 2025 at 2pm. This 5K race starts before the South Berkeley Christmas Parade and all proceeds benefit The Berkeley County Humane Society. The mostly flat course follows along the parade route so there will be plenty of cheering spectators. *** Festive costumes and clothing are encouraged ***

To avoid the long lines, we encourage getting there no later than NOON. If you are part of a team, one person may pick up the packets for your entire group. (Packet = shirt & race bib)

Parking
There will be NO parking at Musselman High School or the Randy Smith Rec Center!! There will be PLENTY of parking space at Musselman Middle School, the football field and Mill Creek Intermediate. Since parking will be off-site, please take advantage of our complimentary Bag Check at the Expo.
Race Day Expo
Race Day Expo opens at 11am! Come early to receive special deals and offers from our Sponsors exclusively for our South Berkeley Christmas 5K Participants! Race Day registration is also available during the Expo along with Bag Check for your personal items. Bring your wallet because there is guaranteed to be cool stuff you'll want to purchase from our fantastic vendors!!
Bag Check
THANKS to Goin' Postal, we offer this FREE service to our participants. Bring your gear (clothes, keys, wallet, phone, purse, etc) and we'll keep your stuff safe and secure while you run.
Shenandoah Valley Runners (SVR)

Race Shirts
RACE SHIRTS - Participants who registered BEFORE December 1 will receive a complimentary long-sleeved cotton tee.
Participants who register AFTER December 1 will be offered shirts while supplies last.
Additional shirts may be purchased for $15 AFTER THE RACE ENDS at the POST RACE PARTY (while supplies last)
Course Map
Timing/Awards
Racine Multisports will be doing our race timing again this year! A kiosk at our Expo will provide you with immediate results and your results will also be posted online upon conclusion of the race. We will also provide a QR code to check results instantly. Awards will be given to the top 3 participants in 5-year age divisions.
Post Race
Join us back at the Rec Center for lots of food and fun! Visit with our vendors, ring the PR Bell, and celebrate with your fellow runners!
Dogs/Strollers
Both are welcome. BUT... for runner safety, dogs and strollers will be lined up towards the BACK in the starting corral. Dogs must be leashed and in control at all times. PLEASE NOTE: Dogs who do not do well with excitement or loud noise should avoid the Randy Smith Rec Center and maybe the race altogether. There is a lot of commotion and noise everywhere and several loud events throughout the course. We know you'd love to bring your four-legged friend, but please keep these things in mind.
