How Do I Get to Walk and Roll?
Walk and Roll is at Upper Hutchinson Field in Grant Park this year. Please direct to 200 E. Balbo Drive, Chicago, IL 60605. It is at the SW corner of Balbo & Columbus.
We encourage you to take public transit, carpool or get dropped off near the venue. ACS cannot cover the cost of parking for volunteers so please use the link to park at Grant Park South Garage. There is no parking at the event site.
All options are included on the "Get to Upper Hutchinson Field" page on our website.
Where Do I Check In?
Please come to tent #13 to check in as a Day of Event Volunteer.
The site map will be shared on the call and sent out after the call to all volunteers.
What Should I Wear?
Please dress comfortably based on the weather that day! Our event is rain or shine.
Sometimes the grass is wet from dew early in the morning, plan accordingly.
We have a yellow short sleeve volunteer t-shirt available for you to pick up when you check in at the Volunteer Area. First come, first served on sizes. If you have it from last year, please wear it- it's the same!
You are welcome to wear gym shoes, athletic wear, hats, etc. Please wear sunscreen too!
Will you feed me?
Please eat before you come and bring snacks if you might get hungry.
We will have bagels & cream cheese from Panera available in the morning at the Volunteer Tent.
Water bottles, other drinks and assorted snacks will be available in the Refreshments area on site.
What If I Have More Questions?
Email Marlie at WalkRollChicago@cancer.org if you have more questions, don't remember your role, or you can no longer volunteer.
