Thank you for being here. Oakland University isn’t just another campus to me. It’s personal.

I played basketball at OU during a historic season, the first time the program ever made the NCAA Tournament. Those years shaped me in a lot of ways. I built relationships, competed at a high level, and experienced something special being part of the Oakland Grizzlies.

But if I’m being honest, college was also a time where I felt the pull of the world in a real way.

There were influences, environments, and priorities that didn’t push me toward God. They pulled me away. Not always in obvious ways, but subtly and consistently. I found myself investing time, energy, and identity into things that didn’t last.

And I know I’m not the only one.

That’s why this matters so much to me.

Now I have the opportunity to go back. Not as a player, but with a purpose. I’m partnering with His House Christian Fellowship to reach students right where they are. In the middle of questions about identity, purpose, pressure, and direction, we get to introduce them to Jesus in a real and authentic way.

Not just religion. Not just information. A real relationship with Him.

I want students to experience what I wish I had fully embraced at that stage of life. To know Jesus deeply, to walk with Him daily, and to build their lives on something that actually lasts.

Your support helps make that possible. It fuels the relationships, the gatherings, the conversations, and the moments where lives are genuinely changed.

This is not just about a campus. It's about people. It's about eternity.

And it's about going back to a place that shaped me to help shape it for something greater.
