Hello friends/family/colleagues,
This July, I will again be taking part in The Great Bicycle Tour – TGBT XXXIX and I am excited to be able to do this again this year; however, I need your help if we are going to get the most out of this endeavor.
You may be wondering, what is The Great Bicycle Tour (TGBT) and why am I riding it? Well, TGBT is an amazing 4-day, 184.5-mile ride along the C&O Canal. It is hosted by a wonderful nonprofit organization, the San Mar Family and Community Services and this is its major annual fundraiser.
For me, there are so many reasons for doing this special ride: to make a difference, a bucket list ride, a challenge, etc. Personally, after my surgery and learning I have cancer last year, this is about my recovery and moving on. But the most important thing that happens as a result, is that children and families who are facing some tough situations, will be helped and supported.
