Hello friends/family/colleagues,
This July, I will be taking part in The Great Bicycle Tour – TGBT XXXVII. I’m a bit nervous and excited as it will be both my first bike tour and it'll be happening over my 50th birthday!
You may be wondering, what is The Great Bicycle Tour (TGBT) and why am I riding it? Well, TGBT is an amazing 4-day, 184.5-mile ride along the C&O Canal. It is hosted by a wonderful nonprofit organization, San Mar Family and Community Services, as its major annual fundraiser.
There are so many reasons for doing this special ride: to make a difference, a bucket list ride, a challenge, etc. But the most important thing that happens as a result, is that children and families who are facing some tough situations, will be helped and supported.
