Join me for the American Cancer Society Bike-A-Thon on Sunday, June 7, 2026.  At Bike-A-Thon, participants and volunteers come together to honor cancer survivors, spread the word about reducing cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives.

This is my 22nd year riding in Bike-a-Thon as a Cancer Survivor.  I am one of the lucky ones that was diagnosed at an early stage and was blessed with a fantastic surgeon, Patrick Walsh, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. I started riding in Bike-a-Thon the following year to raise money for cancer research to find a cure for this dreaded disease.  The ride is an incredible experience with thousands of cyclists starting at the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge and riding beautiful country roads to the beach in Ventnor, New Jersey.  The camaraderie is amazing and the rest stops, SAG Support and police at intersections make it a well-organized and safe ride.

Funds raised support cancer patient programs and groundbreaking research that can help save lives. This event also celebrates over 18.6 million cancer survivors in the United States. 18.6 MILLION!
