FAQs
Are helmets required?
All participants must wear a helmet any time they are on a bicycle.
Are the races timed?
Each participant will receive a bib with timing chips attached in their race packet at packet pickup. This bib must be on the FRONT of the body. If you do not wish to be timed you do not have to wear the bib.
Where can I watch my kid?
Keep in mind that these courses are happening on trails – there is not a lot of extra room for passing or for parents to be close by. We do have designated spectator viewing areas, and will also have volunteers placed along the route to ensure their safety.
Can I run or bike with my kid?
For parents of our 3 year old competitors, who will mostly be on asphalt and will only do the running portion on the trail, if your child needs you to run the race with them for moral support, you are welcome to do that! For those above 3, we do not allow anyone to bike/run with them.
How far is each leg? How do they transition?
Age 3: 0.21mi run, 0.15mi bike
Age 4-7: 0.29mi run, 0.21mi bike
Age 8-12: 0.29mi run, 0.53mi bike
Participants will run first, and end up at the bike corral. From there they will bike to the finish line.
