Hi! My plan was to ride 200 miles on my bike with the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Charity Bike Ride to make a difference for the youth in our community! Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary has a long history of supporting youth organizations with this ride, and I’m joining in to do my part.
Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, the 200 mile, 3-day ride had to be cancelled. But, I will not be deterred! I am still participating the in the Sunrise Rotary's One Day Wonder alternative ride on Saturday October 3rd. And I'm committed more than ever to raise funds for our beneficiaries who this year especially need our help!
This year the ride recipients are Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Services, the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary High School Scholarship program (providing 2 and 4-year college scholarship) and the Charities and Grants program (providing grants to local youth athletic and arts organizations).
For those of you who don’t know about Jacob's Heart – I urge you to visit their website http://www.JacobsHeart.org. But the summary is that Jacob's Heart exists to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and to support their families in the challenges they face. They provide family-centered care that addresses the emotional, practical and financial struggles for families of children and teens during treatment, families experiencing anticipatory grief and those who are bereaved.
I've committed to fundraise a minimum of 000 with a personal goal of $000! So please consider sponsoring me for this ride. With an all-volunteer crew 100% of the proceeds go to the charities, and it’s all tax deductible as Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.
