I'm thrilled to share why I've taken on the challenge of riding 200 miles in the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Charity Bike Ride this year! 🚴♂️✨ Our ride isn't just about hitting the pedals; it's about making a lasting impact on our community by supporting a fantastic cause.
This year, we're riding to bring Treasure Cove to Jade Street Park - an inclusive and accessible playground that will be a game-changer for kids of all abilities! Here's why this project means so much:
Every Child Deserves to Play: Did you know that one in ten children has a disability? Traditional playgrounds often miss the mark in meeting their needs.
Promoting Inclusion and Joy: Treasure Cove isn't just a playground; it's a place where children of all abilities can come together, fostering compassion, acceptance, and pure joy!
Designed for All: From a Climb and Slide Zone to a Sensory Zone, Treasure Cove's design ensures that every child can play and explore without barriers.
Mid-County Accessibility: Nestled in Jade Street Park, this playground will be easily accessible to families across our county, ensuring that no child misses out on the fun!
This ride also supports other incredible organizations dedicated to youth well-being in our community, including Skills of Life Café, The Teen Kitchen Project, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County, and more!
I've set a personal fundraising goal of $1500, with a minimum target of $1000. Your support can help me reach and surpass this goal, making a real difference in the lives of our community's youth!
