Description

Cycle For Hope is a cycling event to help end homelessness and hunger in our community.  There will be three ride distances, 15, 25, and 50 miles through the city of Temecula and The Temecula Valley Wine Country.  Ride timing will be provided by Gemini Timing.  A commemorative T-shirt and goodie bag are included for all rides. The courses will take cyclists through Temecula's finest neighborhoods and trails and the 25 and 50 milers will ride through the beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country. Post race celebration will be held at Refuge Brewery.

50-mile ride

The 50-mile ride packs in 3,148 feet of elevation gain thanks to a number of short, punchy climbs, many over 10% gradient, that just keep on coming. Your reward are some fun downhills along with scenic views of Temecula Wine country. Once back in town, you’ll benefit from Temecula’s class 2 bike lanes while ambling through many of Temecula’s idyllic neighborhoods. The final stretch takes you around Old Town Temecula and past the Refuge Brewery where you’ll enjoy a post ride meal and beverage. But you have to make it all the back to the finish first! The ride includes rest stops at mile 18 and a second at mile 36.

25-mile ride

The 25-mile shares the same first 9 miles of the 50 mile route that includes some sharp climbs totaling over 1,800 feet of elevation gain and lovely views of Temecula’s vineyards. Where the 50-mile riders have turned east, you’ll make your way back toward Old Town Temecula. This ride’s only rest stop comes just before the 11-mile mark. After the rest stop, you’ll benefit from Temecula’s class 2 bike lanes while ambling through many of Temecula’s idyllic neighborhoods. The final stretch takes you around Old Town Temecula and past the Refuge Brewery where you’re encouraged to come for a post-ride beverage.

15-mile ride

Don’t let the 15-mile distance fool you. This ride will provide a pleasant challenge for recreational cyclists. A couple of short hills will make sure you get your calorie-count in. But don’t worry too much. The majority of the route uses Temecula’s Class 2 bike lane and takes in many of its lush and idyllic neighborhoods. The final stretch takes you around Old Town Temecula and past the Refuge Brewery where you’re encouraged to come for a post-ride beverage. Most riders should expect to complete the course in around an hour, but if it takes you longer, it’s just more time to enjoy what’s sure to be a lovely first Sunday of October.
