This year's Rotary Ride focuses on supporting local kids and teens with safe spaces to learn, grow and thrive, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County is “to inspire and enable all children, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.” They do this by providing safe spaces filled with enriching programs and caring adult mentors who actively cultivate relationships to ensure that youth feel connected, supported and valued.

Club programs focus on academics, recreation, art, music, career exploration, health & wellness, and character development for your ages 6-18. Their downtown Santa Cruz, Live Oak, and Scotts Valley Clubs are open five days-a-week after-school, on select holidays, and during the summer months when kids need a safe, fun and positive place to go.

Swimming in the indoor pool is one of the most unique and beloved offerings at the downtown club.   Generations of Santa Cruzians learned to swim and have enjoyed hours of recreation in the club's pool, one of the only indoor community pools in the county.   While it's still in regular use, it's time for a much needed refresh.    This year's Rotary Ride has pledged to provide the funds needed to make this refresh possible.

In addition, proceeds will go to supporting the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary Club's High School Youth Scholarship and Charities and Grants programs supporting local non-profits serving the youth and individuals with disabilities in Santa Cruz county.
