The 2020 Clean Air Bike Ride is Saturday, September 19, 2020

The 2020 Clean Air Ride is moving forward, but with a few changes due to the Rails to Trails limitations. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 STATEWIDE RESPONSE, the State of Florida has rescinded all event permits. We will not be able to operate any part of our event on State Property. This presents a delicate situation, so please read carefully. We have spent the last several weeks working out the details to stay in compliance.
The event Packet Pickup and ALL SAG Stops have been moved off of State property. The Packet Pickup has been moved to the Inverness Depot (under the water tower) which is on City property, across the street from the original site. SAG support will be located at various locations just off the trail. A description of each will be in your packet, so you know how to find them.  The trail is open to the public, so you are free to ride anywhere you want. We are not requiring you to ride on the trail to receive support at any SAG Station, you may arrive there however you want. You may also pick up your packet and choose to ride elsewhere or on another date.

ALL COVID PROTOCOLS WILL BE IN PLACE. We will still be operating with our safety protocols to help insure a safe ride. This will mean a limited amount of individually wrapped snack items (not the huge buffet and hot food items you are used to...sorry!) and both water and Gatorade will be in bottles. No bulk water will be available from IGLOO Coolers. Staff will be screened and wear the appropriate PPE.

CLICK HERE:  REQUIRED HEALTH SCREENING QUESTIONNAIRE

Click the link above to complete the health screening questionnaire prior to picking up your packet. If you do not feel well, please stay home. We can arrange  to have your packet and t-shirt mailed to you.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. We were all hoping for a different outcome and appreciate everyone's support through this crisis. This is a time for all of us, as Americans, to support each other and help each other weather the storm.

                                                   Team Awards

Two super cool trophies will be awarded to the team with the Most Participants and the team that completes the Most Miles! Minimum of 10 per team to qualify.

Please join us on Saturday, September 19, 2020 with kickoff 7.00 a.m. - 9.00 a.m. Rain or Shine. No Mass Start. Continental Breakfast for all Entrants!

Our trail is the longest paved trail in Florida and listed in National Geographic's Traveler Magazine as one of the top 20 trails in the United States. The World Wildlife Fund says our trail is "One of the coolest places you've EVER seen".

The ride begins at the Inverness Depot Water Tower Stage area this year (across the street from where it usually is on the trail), with additional SAG stops at around the Ridge Manor, Istachatta, and Citrus Springs areas. This paved Withlacoochee State Trail winds through Pasco, Hernando and Citrus Counties in West Central Florida. The Trail Head is 2/10 mile north of the Old Historic Courthouse in downtown Inverness.

Choose from 5 distances on this springtime nature ride:

14 Miles:
Heading South from the Trailhead, take our shortest loop and enjoy a scenic ride to Historic Floral City.
28 Miles:
Enjoy a fully supported SAG stop at the small town of Nobleton, including a park, music, and restrooms!
48 Miles:
This is our most popular distance and the SAG stop is located at Ridge Manor Trailhead (24 miles South) with large food and beverage support.
100 kilometers (62.13 Miles)
For those wanting to do a Metric Century, we have added this distance in 2020.
100 Miles
For the more serious rider. Ride the trail from end to end and complete this 50 mile stretch out and back with limited road crossings and plenty of wide open space to spin your wheels

Century Challenge
Riders who complete the 100 mile route will receive a commemorative Century Finisher award to display proudly.
