Catie's Closet WALKtober Challenge

Step up to the challenge: Help us give 250 children in urgent need a brand new pair of sneakers!

Be with our students...every step of the way! Join us for our new Catie's Closet WALKtober Challenge for a fun, heart pumping competition that raises money to provide brand-new sneakers for local children in need.

How It Works:

Walk as many steps as you can every day between October 17th through October 31st. Participate as an individual and make your own goal, or rally your family, friends and company to start a team.

Prizes:

Individual participants with the top three numbers of steps will receive a gift card to purchase a brand-new pair of sneakers. First place will receive a $150 gift card, second place will receive a $100 gift card, and third place will receive a $50 gift card.

The top three teams with the most steps and the top three teams with the most team members will receive a special sneaker trophy!

Date: October 17 - October 31

Location: Anywhere – track your steps virtually on our race website

Registration Information:

100% of proceeds go toward purchasing a brand-new pair of sneakers for a child in need.
$30 per person 18 years and older
$15 per person between 12 and 17 years
Free for children 11 and younger

Registration opens October 1, 2025.

Whether you're walking your dog, running on a treadmill, or dancing in your living room, every step helps us get closer to our goal of giving 250 children a chance to walk, run, skip, and play in comfort and confidence.

Fundraising

When you register for our WALKtober Challenge, you have the opportunity to create a fundraising page to help fund additional pairs of sneakers. You will also receive a full fundraising toolkit full of fun, unique ideas to ask your family, friends, and network to support you. Recognition will be given to the individual and team with the most money raised.
