Description
“Behind the Build: A Trail Work + Learn Day” Hosted by: Copper Harbor Trails Club
Date: Saturday, July 19
Time: 10:00 AM – ~3:00 PM (3 hours of trail work + cookout/beerluck)
Who it's for: Trail lovers, riders, hikers, and anyone curious about what it takes to maintain world-class singletrack. No experience needed.
What to Expect: Hands-on trail work led by pros, meaningful learning, and a fun, rewarding community experience.
We’re inviting local riders, trail users, and community members to join us for a unique “learn-by-doing” event focused on trail maintenance, hosted by our professional trail crew and leaders.
You’ll be grouped with one of our expert builders and tackle topics like:
Brushing and vegetation removal
Drain clearing and water control
Feature repair and dirt work
Loose rock/gravel cleanup
Debris and tree removal (pending need)
Bridge Overhauls
Each group will focus on a different part of trail care — with real impact, real tools, and real know-how.
Why It Matters: Our trails don’t maintain themselves! This is your chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the techniques and teamwork that keep Copper Harbor riding beautifully — while making a direct impact.
Bonus: After the work, we celebrate. Stick around for hotdogs, brats, snacks, and a beerluck hangout.
