New Date: August 22nd
The Cap2Cap Bike Ride is a supported, non-competitive bike ride. Note this is not a race. The Ride will take place on public roads as well as the Capital Trail. The course is open to traffic and all stop signs and traffic signals must be obeyed by participants. All Virginia Laws as they apply to bicyclists must be followed: riders should use hand signals at turns, may ride up to two-abreast on all roads and must move into single file when a vehicle approaches to enable it to pass.

All turns and potentially congested areas on all routes will be marked with posted directional or message signage and color-coded arrows on the pavement. Pavement arrows will mark routes according to the following protocol:
NOTE: In some instances, riders will travel distances in excess of 5 miles at a time without a direction change. While we will do our very best to ensure that confirmation arrows are on the pavement at regular intervals, it cannot be guaranteed that they will not be removed or otherwise damaged due to traffic and weather conditions. Please consult all maps and cue sheets and be familiar with all distances between turns and other direction changes to avoid confusion.
