Volunteers Important Information - Things to Remember

L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee, Inc. (LACFRC) Wants You to Have an Awesome Time!

We appreciate you and the time you spend volunteering! 

T-Shirts: All registered volunteers will receive a Volunteer Firecracker T-shirt (while supplies last) upon Check-In at the Volunteer Booth. 

Breakfast will not be provided on Saturday and Sunday. Please plan to eat breakfast before coming to your Volunteer shifts.

Lunch for Saturday Volunteer Shifts Only: Volunteers will receive their lunch ticket upon Check In/Registration at the Volunteer Booth. Team Leads will dismiss volunteers for a 30 minute lunch break at the designated time, according to your volunteer shift.

Lunch will not be provided for Sunday Volunteer Shifts: We encourage you to stay to explore the Chinatown Restaurants to enjoy the authentic cuisine at the end of your volunteer shift. 

Note:  Bike Race Volunteers, please follow the directions listed on the event website. 

Volunteer Shift:  We ask for your flexibility and patience during your volunteer shifts, as the race weekend depends on the timing of Race Finishers, therefore, there may be “Slow/Down Time”, a need for assistance with set up and clean up, or you may be moved to a different task for a time being, as needed.  We strive to give our volunteers a wonderful experience for the LACFRC weekend of events.    

Dress Code: It is an outdoor volunteering event. Please wear comfortable and closed-toed shoes. SANDALS, CROCS, or FLIP-FLOPS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. You may want to bring a hat, water bottle, and wear sunscreen.

Volunteer Parking: There will be a FREE designated parking lot for Volunteers only on a first come, first served basis. Location TBA. 

Community Service Hours: LACFRC can provide community service hours. If your school requires a specific Service Hour Form to be completed, please bring the form with you. These forms will be signed at the end of your shift by the Station Team Lead or with the Coordinators at the Volunteer Registration Booth.

Check your SPAM Folder:  You will receive confirmation emails but sometimes it lands in your Spam folder.
