Saturday Bike Marshal-20 Mile Bike Ride High Priority

Assist bike riders on the 20 mile bike ride with mechanical issues, flagging directions, calling for additional resources, reporting incidents.


Must attend 1 pre-ride for returning marshals and 2 for new marshals. Rides are mandatory to familiarize marshals with the routes and assignments.


Marshal Ride Dates: 10/4/25, 11/1/25, 12/6/25, 1/10/26


Marshals are subject to acceptance by the Firecracker Bike Ride Committee.


Note: Bike Marshals will be given a vest on event day and lunch ticket when they check in. They will also get a goody bag, tshirt, and bike ride medal after the event.
Check-in location is to be determined.

SAG volunteers must be 18+ years of age and approved by the Bike Director. SAG volunteers will be equipped with supplies to hand out to riders, assist with mechanical issues, call for additional resources, and transport riders if applicable.

Saturday Bike Rest Stop Truck Driver

Two drivers needed: One driver to Rest Stop #1.; One driver to Rest Stop #2. One assistant needed too.

Drive truck from Chinatown to Bike rest stops, and unload and help set up canopies, tables, and chairs, trash boxes, refreshments, and misc. items. After bike ride, help load back equipment and refreshments, and return truck to Chinatown to unload equipment. Return truck to retail location.

Saturday Start/Finish Line

Saturday Bike Goodie Bag and T-Shirt Booth High Priority

Details

*Volunteers will set up the Bike Goodie Bag Booth and distribute the Goodie Bag and Bike T-shirt to registered Bike participants.

*One or two volunteers must be able to lift and carry approximately 25 lbs. (box of T-shirts).

6:30am-7:00am:
1) Set up four (4) tables and 8-10 chairs.
2) Hang up sample size shirts along with signage for T shirt size for display.
3) Unpack T-shirt boxes, sort, and set up according to size along with Goodie
Bags. T-shirt set up: XS,S; Medium; Large; XL, XXL.

7:00am-1pm
1) Distribute T-shirts and Goodie Bags to bike participants by shirt sizes and
mark off the Bibs for the Goodie Bags (G) and T-shirts (S).
2) Marshals and SAG Drivers- A distribution roster/list will be provided to
check off when Marshals and SAG Drivers return from the bike ride. Verify
the Marshal and SAG Driver from the roster, receive the Marshal vest, SAG
box (if any), and distribute a Goodie Bag (G) and Bike T-shirt (T). Mark off on
the Bibs for those items distributed.


1pm-2pm: Pack up the remaining Goodie Bags and T-shirts in the boxes for pick up and return to the truck.
