The Heywood Healthy Harvest 5k will run from Saturday October 31st through the end of day, Sunday November 1st, in an alternate, competitive (timed) or non-competitive format.
By extending the event to two days, participants are able to run or walk (outdoors or on a treadmill) or to cycle outdoors or on a Peloton. All participants are strongly encouraged to adhere to CDC and DPH Covid-19 guidelines.
Our established 3.1 mile family-friendly scenic course is a suggested and available route option starting and ending at Heywood Hospital. However, participants can select any route they wish. For competitive participants, the route must meet 5k (3.1M) criteria. Competitive participants must provide electronic proof of time to qualify for prizes.
Reduced adult rate: $25.
Youth registration (will appear within the Runner or Walker link) offers reduced fees: Ages 7-18 yrs are $15 & children 6 and under are free!
Upon registration, you will be mailed a custom HH5k Gator Mask & Participant Medal.

The top 3 male & female winning participants across the competitive categories will be recognized.
Submit your selfies & we will use them as part of our virtual event video! Also remember, participants are encouraged to submit participation photos by emailing them to communityrelations@heywood.org, Subject HH5K. Those who submit a photo wearing any previous HH5k shirt or photos with flair, will be entered to win a prize.
Proceeds from this year’s event will be directed towards resources to support the social and emotional health of our region’s school aged youth, as they face unprecedented challenges with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
EARLY REGISTRATION closes Oct. 19th at 5:00pm (guarantees participant Gaiter Mask & Medal mailed out prior to event day)
Note: Gaiter Mask is decorative/commemorative and not intended as medical protection. Mask can be used for face covering, helmet lining, neck scarf, collar scarf, hand warmer, sports scarf, wristband and so on.

The Healthy Harvest 5K suggested route takes the runners along Heywood Hospital's wooded walking trail to a half way turnaround point at the end of Crystal Lake. The race begins and ends in the Heywood Hospital parking lot. However, participants can select any route they wish. For competitive participants, the route must meet 5k (3.1M) criteria.
