Description

The Oregon Tech Twilight Fun Run is hosted by Oregon Tech Wellbeing. The Fun Run will begin at Eulalona (formerly known as Kit Carson) Park, with the route proceeding up the trail that runs parallel to Crater Lake Parkway, to El Dorado, up Daggett, and then right on Bryant Williams Way around campus to John F. Moehl stadium on the Oregon Tech campus. Food trucks will be located between the stadium and the Athletics Building, with a closing awards ceremony once all finish times are recorded. Awards will be given for overall finishers and by age group.

Registration cost of $15 will allow participants to run/walk the 5K, get a t-shirt, and receive one free meal ticket to the food trucks. Volunteers will each be given a t-shirt and free meal ticket, as well. Students of all ages can participate at no cost, but they do need to register.

This is a family-friendly environment and walkers and runners alike are welcome; the route is paved throughout. We will have volunteers placed throughout the route ringing cowbells for encouragement, and Klamath Falls police will also assist in traffic control. Hootie (Oregon Tech's mascot) will be joining us, and Dr. Nagi (our President) has the honor of using the start pistol at the Staring line. A professional timing service will be tracking race times, with an inflatable finish line inside the stadium!

Goals for the event include: : the engagement of Klamath Falls community members in a healthy activity; strengthening of collaborative partnerships between Oregon Tech and Klamath Falls resources; and increased social connection in a shared family-friendly community experience.
