Get ready to experience Michigan like never before with the Wolverine State 100! This epic 100-mile adventure kicks off at Bayfront Park in Petoskey and carries you all the way to Bayview Park in Alpena, from the shores of Lake Michigan to the edge of Lake Huron.
Expect a mix of singletrack trail, gravel and limestone roads, and quiet seasonal roads through Northern Michigan’s forests and farm country. Trails are technical; expect roots, rocks, and leaves that require concetration and reward you with pure Michigan trail running. You'll run on packed dirt, sandy seasonal roads, grass, and pavement. Aid stations every 5–8 miles will keep you fueled, supported, and moving toward the Huron shore.
While no 100-miler is ever “easy,” Wolverine is designed to be challenging yet approachable—a race that welcomes first-timers and rewards veterans alike. Finishers earn custom awards, with special recognition for those who break the 24-hour barrier on the 100-mile course.
Are you ready to conquer Michigan, one step at a time?
